We are actively seeking volunteers for assistance with our various programs and projects. The Museum provides a variety of experiences for people interested in volunteering and has many volunteer opportunities that are flexible to match various levels of commitment and interest.
Museum of the Mountain Man Gift Shop
Our Gift Shop features a wide variety of merchandise for adults and children. Responsibilities include cash handling skills, simple computer skills, interest in talking to a variety of Museum guests.
Docent:
Greet and answer questions about the permanent collection and special exhibitions for children and adults.
Sommers Ranch Homestead:
The Sommers Ranch Homestead is a new living history project that focuses on the homestead era of the Upper Green River Valley. It is a joint project of the Sublette County Historical Society, Green River Valley Museum, and Jonita and Albert Sommers. The site is being run mostly by volunteers. Interested volunteers are always welcome. Donations are very much appreciated.
